The Brothers Crisp is an artisan, hand sewn moccasin local footwear company based out of Hartford’s Parkville neighborhood. The Brothers Crisp’s founder Joshua Westbrook first established a substantial following for his brand on Instagram, designing and hand-crafting one-off custom shoes for customers around the world. Westbrook and his team have since shifted their focus towards the production of a full line of branded American made footwear. Their variations on the traditional techniques of moccasin construction are both timeless, beautiful and innovative, durable, and – unlike any other brand in the world – hand-sewn in Hartford.

The Brothers Crisp

To you,

October was an exciting and productive month for us at The Brothers Crisp. Here is a quick recap of what we have been up to. On the twenty-fifth, St. Crispin’s Day, we debuted our first collection, which includes two new looks: a grey chamois and bison leather “mocsford” and a cognac-colored, six-inch boot with quarter panels in waxed canvas and vintage tweed.

We also launched an updated version of our website, which we hope you will enjoy browsing. We have added brand new content, such as our October Lookbook and a gallery of our previous work, as well as an e-commerce platform that allows customers to order directly from our site.

We announced a giveaway of a free pair of shoes. Those interested in entering the giveaway had to re-post two of our Instagrams with the with the hashtag #TBCGIVEWAY and the tag @thebrotherscrisp, as well as sign up for our newsletter. We closed submissions on Monday, November 10 and selected Jeremiah Torres as the winner. Congratulations!

We are keeping busy here in our workshop preparing to release our November collection. Two new looks will be available to order on our site by the end of the month. Until then, keep tabs on The Brothers Crisp on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. We will be posting updates on our work, photos and videos of projects in progress, and possibly sneak previews of our upcoming collection.

We appreciate all your support and hope you continue to stay tuned.

Truly,

The Brothers Crisp
